split (devlog 4)


hi! it's been a bit since devlog 3, and yes the game has still had development work done on it. however, i have come to announce a change in the project! instead of releasing oddities as our first game, we are going to develop and release another smaller game before oddities.

why though?

as a game, the scope for oddities has grown wayyy bigger than i possibly thought it would, and it is becoming less and less feasible to develop without any prior experience. this will hopefully take off some of the weight of trying to make oddities as good as i can (since i'm currently not as good at game dev as i want to be for this). 

what does this mean for you?

this means hopefully oddities will be a better final product for you guys, and the part i have yet to mention is that this new game will still be set in the oddities universe! more oddities content, and eventually better oddities content.

oddities is the dream game i want to make, and i want to make it the best it can be. i absolutely adore this game, and i'm excited to see it turn into more of a "project" as time goes on. oh yeah, here's the obligated devlog concept art! this is Cami, a cult member that will turn out to be quite an important piece of lore
